Dr. Bennet Braun, Psychiatrist, create the protocol for healing trauma in the 1980s. He created the BASK Model: B for Behavior, A for Affect, S for Sensations/Body Memories; K for Knowledge of the Abuse.

The BASK Model is very similar to the Four Realms of Healing that we focus on in our programs. The Medicine Wheel includes Emotional Healing, Physical Healing, Spiritual Healing, and Intellectual Healing. The Four Realms are different words for the same process. In addition, within the Emotional Healing quadrant, there is a subtext cycle of Grief.
